2024 International Thanksgiving Blending Conference (Online)

The 2024 International Thanksgiving Blending Conference will be held from November 28-December 1 in Atlanta, GA. For those who are not able to attend the conference in-person, the church plans to broadcast the conference messages via Zoom from November 29-December 1 (Friday-Lord’s Day). The schedule and information for these Zoom meetings are below. All are welcome!

Regional Conference

October 25-27, 2024

 

We are pleased to announce that there will be a regional conference with brother Ed Marks over the weekend of October 25-27, 2024. Registration is not required (unless requesting hospitality) and all are welcome to attend.

General Information
All meetings will be held at Hall 1 of the church in NYC (87-60 Chevy Chase Street, Jamaica Estates, NY 11432). There will also be a Zoom option provided for those who cannot come in person.

Conference Schedule (October 25-27, 2024)
Message 1 – Friday, 7:30pm
Message 2 – Saturday, 10:00am
Message 3 – Saturday, 4:00pm
*Lord’s Table & Message 4 – Lord’s Day, 10:00am
(Please note there is no meeting on Saturday evening.)

*Note: Only Hall 1 will be open on Lord’s Day, October 27; the meeting halls in the other districts will be closed. All saints are encouraged to join the Lord’s table and conference meeting at Hall 1.

Language Translation
Translation will be provided in Spanish, Korean and Chinese. Saints needing translation should bring their own FM radio, headphones, and batteries. Translation will also be available for those on Zoom using Zoom Interpretation.

Lunch
A simple lunch will be provided on both Saturday and Lord’s Day. Saints can stay to eat and fellowship after the meeting.

Hospitality and Hotel Information
There are a limited number of hospitality spaces available upon request. Please submit your requests to serviceoffice@churchinnyc.org.

Child care
Child care will be provided during the Saturday morning and Lord’s Day morning conference sessions. Less formal arrangements will be made for the Saturday afternoon session. Details will be provided later. Child care will not be provided for the Friday evening session.

Saturday Afternoon
There is no child care Saturday afternoon. Please keep your children with you. Saints are welcomed to rest and fellowship at the hall between the two meetings or visit some nearby parks. Cunningham Park is 5 minutes away; there is a playground for children and grounds for walks. Queens County Farm Museum is about 15 minutes drive; this farm is open to the public with many things for children. The afternoon meeting begins at 4:00 PM.

Please pray that the Lord will use this opportunity for the release of His Word and the strengthening of the churches. Grace be with you all.

2024 Church in NYC Scholarship Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters,

A number of generous donations from some elderly saints over the years were given to award scholarships for young people in the church in New York City. We thank the Lord for their generosity and for His practical care demonstrated to us through His Body. This year, the Board of Trustees have made available funds for awarding the 2024-2025 Academic Year Church in New York City Scholarship for Academic Excellence and for Financial Need.

You may access the scholarship application through the URL: 


Scholarship Requirements
1) All members of the church in New York City who have attended church meetings for at least 1 year and who will be undergraduate students or graduate students in any accredited college are eligible to apply for this scholarship. High school students are not eligible to apply.
2) All applicants must be registered in a matriculated program as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college during this academic year.
3) Minimum GPA for an academic scholarship is 3.0.

You will need a Google account to complete the application. Please follow the instructions in the application. The deadline for submitting your application is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Scholarships are awarded through an application and review process.  The submission of an application does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship, but each application will be given careful consideration.

Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference – September 2024

Young Working Saints
and Young Families Conference
for the Churches in the Northeast
September 20-22, 2024

Registration has opened for the upcoming Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference for the churches in the Northeast, to be held at Camp Penuel on September 20-22, 2024. We strongly encourage the saints who will stay overnight to register as soon as possible to secure accommodation at the camp due to limited onsite housing. Please see below for the registration link and more information on the conference.
